Music: Cake - Comfort Eagle
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I'm already sucking at being a student.

I got homework from all of my classes yesterday (welcome back!), and I've done one of the assignments so far. You know what I did instead of reading my Spanish? Played SSX 3 until my eyes hurt. Thanks God I have no claases today. At least I'll be a able to do everything I have left (I did Int. Econ. It was only a couple of articles to read.)

I'm on LC table duty for C+H today, so I'll bring some work with me.

Oh. As for the rest of my classes yesterday, they were hit and miss.

First was Human Impact on the Environment. The teacher, Prof Marsh, seems like a really nice guy who cares about what he's doing....he's just...dull. I found myself zoning out completely after about 5 minutes. Hopefully it'll get better when there is something to teach.

After that was Spanish which we dug in to right away. I'm finding that my biggest flaw in speaking Spanish is that I get nervous saying anything longer than a sentence. I stammer a bit at that point and people understandably assume that I don't know the word I want to say. I do. But I just can't get it to come out. The people in my class are crazy good, too. I feel a bit silly studdering while they're firing out perfect grammar. Also, there are three Elizabeth's in the class (Prof Guerrero's name is Elisabeth. How weird is that!?), so we had to have the name raffle. I dropped out of the race for "Elizabeth" and said I'd respond to "Eli" (one of the guys who works for mom's company calls me Eli. Geo's cool, but he thinks it's funny to quiz me on my Spanish when I'm home over break :P).

But it ought to be an interesting semester.

All that's left to find out is how European History is gonna be. It's supposed to be a three hour seminar, but he said something about there being a break in the middle.

I hope so. I'm gonna need a snack at some point.
