My room is seriously never going to be this clean again.

I got back at around 3:00 and I'm in kind of a "nesting" mode right now. Trying to make my room more...well....livable. I've already found a nice spot for all my new cooking gear, and my DVD collection put away as best it can be. Unfortunately I've had to put some of the larger cases on top of the tower instead of in it, but it's better than nothing. I wanted to get over to Galloway to check in, but I've got a bunch of things left here to do, so I'll pop over tomorrow afternoon.

Every time I leave to go back to school, I feel a little bad. I enjoy being home with my parents. I really do. I know I talk a lot of crap about them, but they're good people who take good care of me and I know that they love me. That's why I feel a bit bad wanting to go back to independent living. I was going to do some cooking using the new techniques my dad taught me over break (he's teaching me all his little tricks for cooking. what oils to use for what, etc. says it'll come in handy when I get my first apartment. news flash, Daddy. this pretty much *is* my first apartment.), but the kitchen is being used for something track team related.

Wow. Edwards House sure has changed in a month. This place used to be ghetto as hell. I couldn't convince people that the yellow stains on the floor in the first floor bathroom weren't from fresh urine. Plus, the faucets were calcified and didn't work quite right. Now there's new linolium and brandy new faucets that are very shiny and follow the basic format of which side is hot water and which is cold. And the kitchen! It's so clean! Nothing on top of the fridge and the range is spotless. I'd actually be willing to chop on the countertop right now without thouroughly washing it down first. I know it won't last long, though. Alli didn't go abroad, so there you go...

::sigh:: Back to work after I finish my online errands (still need to print out a course scheduel). I still need to clean up the around-the-chair area. At least the bed is made. I'm getting better at that, too. I didn't even really hurt myself this time!
