Music: The Temptations - My Girl

I'm a little embarrassed.

I went to buy my books today (even though I was going to wait until after classes started but...well I'm a geek and wanted to look at them). Good news is that I finally get to read The House on Mango Street (I did a report on Sandra Cisneros in senior year of high school and I've wanted to read the book ever since). The bad news is that the girl working the counter at the bookstore must think I'm a neo-fascist.

Topics in European history is covering European coservativism and it's history this semester. It would seem, though, that we're really going to be talking about fascism, fascism and more fascism. The three books for this class are entitled Fascists and Conservatives, Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany, and (here's the kicker) The Fascism Reader. I can't say I blame the clerk for giving me a funny look. Between thos and the international economics book I must have looked pretty shady.

And now I shall dig in to these new books and see what kind of a semester I'm in for.
