Music: Cake - Arco Arena

Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.
Basically I have been shut up in my room for the last week trying frantically to get through all the readings for the discussion I have to lead on Tuesday. It took me from last Tuesday until about 15 minutes ago. Now I have note, discussion questions, and an order in which to discuss the readings. I know I'm not gonna get through half of it and Keith is going to try and convince me that my pronunciation of "falange" is wrong ("g" is soft next to and "e", damnit!), but it matters not! I'm done, fuckers! WAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
So now I need to start on my next paper. I think I'm gonna get to work on the one I have on the Chesapeake Bay. I really need to get through all these books I have for my Union of British Fascists paper, but if I read one more things about fascists of any nationality I'm going to jab myself in the eye with a bobby-pin.
But now for a break. A few things managed to happen around all the work (which really put me in a bad mood. I really missed my far-away friends. Being off AIM for almost a week is painful). For one thing, I got to enjoy the beyond perfect weather we've had for the last two days. Sunny, with a nice cool breeze...auh....it was the perfect weekend to wipe away a gloomy week. Even my hair looks great! Maybe because I fried it for an extra fifteen minutes....hmmmm...I'll have to remember that little trick.
I also saw Kill Bill Volume 2 yesterday. We went to the 4:00 showing at the campus theater and the six of us made up about half of the audience. I guess it was just too nice a day for most people to want to go to the movies. But yeah, we saw it. I gotta say...I *loved* Volume 1. It has some of the best lines *ever* and I wish I could kick that much ass. Lucy Lui's character is also just great. And Gogo! She was fuckin' psycho but her weapon was awesome! See! Listen to me! I'm just rambling about how much I love Volume 1!
Needless to say, I'm a fan.
I was a little dissappointed by Volume 2. I don't think there was a single swordfight in the whole thing. And I was really starting to like the character of Elle Driver, but they barely used her. I dunno. I was just a little let down by it.
I think I need to see it again....but let's just say that I don't plan on buying another ticket ::wink::
