I think sleeping with a fedora hat on the bedpost next to my pillow is having an effect on my sleep patterns.

For the last week and a half I have been having dreams about solving crimes.

Sometimes they are simple things, like someone was stealing all the coffee that the Bucknell Brigade brought back from Nicagragua. A few have been murder mysteries. One was even X-Files-ish in nature.

They aren't bad dreams. They're actually kinda fun. But there's one thing that bothers me:

I haven't been able to finish a single one of these dreams. Usually I've either just figured out who the culprit is or I've got the guy and am just about to explain the crime when my alarm clock goes off. Every time!

I'm either ripped away from the dream, or it becomes a part of it, like what happens in cartoons. Like yesterday, when a "fire alarm" went off once I'd found the killer.

Yeah...I'm thinking this is either the work of the fedora, or the inordinate amounts of X-Files I've been watching. Not sure which...
