Music: Jimmy's Chicken Shack - Lazyboy Dash

I cannot believe I've gone so long without a real update. And it's not because nothing has been happening. It's been because too much has been happening! And all of it ass-pain school work.
One Friday I thought I was done with the bullshit but OH NO! Human Impact has given me yet another bullshit paper. He wants us to analyze the validity of the logic used by both sides of the Global Warming issue as shown in two articles. I have two problems with this. (1) How are we supposed to analyze the validity of two arguments when one example comes from a *scientific text* and the other one comes from, I shit you not, a London tabloid? (2) This is one of those instances where I would *love* to play devil's advocate, but not only are the tools not there [I am not citing anything in the Mirror as factual] but I'm also pretty sure that he would give me a bad grade for it. Just call it a hunch.
But it's due Wednesday. Good choice. Not like anyone was getting work done this weekend, anyway. This is the Sunday after Houseparty and most people are sleeping it off :P
How did I do Houseparty? Friday night I did the whole going out thing, which was fun. Not so fun was the fact that I was up until 5 am for reasons unknown (I really have no idea why I was up so long!) and then being reawakened by someone pounding violently on the front door, my window, and evidently, my RA's window. I went to the Jimmy's Chicken Shack Concert yesterday afternoon, which was fun, but muddy. Evidently they have a new album coming out. Fun fact.
After that, though, I was done. I wanted a little quiet, alone time. I really value my recharging periods and hadn't truly gotten one in about 24 hours, so I called it a night at 6. The rest of the evening was spent stone sober watching movies and playing Civ III in happy peace and quiet. It was very nice :)
Like I said, the rest of the house (including my RA who I saw at two parties downing beer) is still sleeping it off and I was going to just sleep for as long as I could, regardless of lack of alcohol intake. Unfortunately, my phone had other ideas. I got a phone call at what I *thought* was 11 am and scrambled out of bed to try and answer it. I was afraid it was Matty since he had mentioned a phone call in his last email, and since our voicemail service does not allow you to pick up once it has clicked on, I was worried I was missing his call. Eventually I was able to check the message. False alarm. It was my mother, cheerily reminding me to turn the clock ahead an hour. Great...
So now it is actually 1:30 as opposed to the 12:30 I thought I was doing this at. I really need to call her back. We're going the BJ's Steakhouse for Easter, where I also went for C+H formals and ate so much steak I thought I was going to go in to a meat coma. Can't wait, but unfortunately we are having this dinner ate 3:30. Call me crazy, but I think my parents are getting a little old...
