I've been thinking about Net Neutrality again and have come to the following conclusion.

Republican's no longer give a shit about capitalism.

Net Neutrality is all about allowing the site with the best services and customer satisfaction to thrive and kick it's competition to the curb...until it goes soft and something better comes along. That's it, folks! Creative destruction. The very thing that has enabled our economy to keep adapting to new theories and global market trends. Only the very best will survive.

And if the Telecoms have fallen behind? Whose fault is that? Their own, of course. The last thing they need is a government bail out to help prop up their bad business practices. What the hell happened to laizzez-faire? Do we get to simply disregard it as only applying it when we want it to? Or, rather, when someone with deep pockets wants it to.

Many people say Republicans only answer to capitalism and business. This can't possibly be the case considering their blatent disregard for the basic tenants of the Capitalism system. Giving big, bloated companies a blank check to behave badly is what has brought so many of the world's economies in to the toilet.

Capitalism is under attack, plain and simple. To some this is a blessing, but that is not my opinion. What I do think is important to take away from this situation is that no one is thinking in terms of theory anymore. Everyone in Washington D.C. has sold some of themself, and neither party is what it says it is anymore.

Now can we please put this bullshit about a tiered internet to rest?
