Why can't I just grow up!?

I had every intention of not buying FF XII. That's 80 hours of my life I could be using for something else...but now I see it's getting 5 star reviews and everyone's all excited...And the Guitar Hero II is coming out....And the WoW expansion...and the Borat movie....

What the hell...I have so much to do...And I'm thinking about these toys and distractions. I've been thinking about this quite a bit actually. People who do important things and change the world...they probably don't have time for video games and Khazakstani reporters. The fact that I still think about these things and actively seek them out make me wonder if I have what it takes to do something big.

I mean...I think I do. Life can't be all hardship and selflessness. People need to have fun too, right? Just because someone's important doesn't mean they can't vegetate in front of the TV for a couple hours to unwind, right?

Does Colin Powell watch CSI in his free time? Did Madeline Albright knit? I dunno...I guess I just don't want to admit that someday I might have to give up doing fun things.
