Music: Epoxies - Stop the Future

This is just so frustrating.

It's become clear to me that my boss is going to be hard pressed to keep me on as an employee if I can't figure out how to get this scanner working. There simply aren't enough letters to write to justify her keeping both me and Jackie on, so I need a new task. Basically, if I can get the scanner working, I can spend all of my time scanning old files in to the computer so we can purge the paper copies. Archiving. That'll give me plenty to do since there are so many closed files just taking up space.

But I can't get the scanner to work. I hate it when I can't figure out technology. I've grown up with it and always been able to get it to work eventually, but this is well beyond me. How long I'll be on the phone with the tech support guy today I can't even guess.

Technology has been turning on me lately. My computer at home was having problems staying connected to the internet, making my busy-work project of getting all the songs on my iPod to have album art near impossible. Now I can't get this goddamned scanner to even acknowledge its own existance. I feel like my mom.

Also, the thing I was working on with the circular knitting needles...I messed it up. It got all twisted and pointless. These things are a bitch to work with but the multiple-double-pointed-needle thing scares me.

Shit. I'm apparently having a bad week.

Trying to think of things that cheer me up. Oh! I came in to $20 recently that I don't really need, so I'm finally going to buy something from the Child's Play charity wishlist. I think I'm going to focus on the books on the list since they are cheaper so I can buy many and people seem to be ignoring them.

Alright. I gotta call tech support.
